One of the most popular cultural venues in Rīga at the moment is the M/Darbnīca. It has a contemporary art gallery and bar on the ground floor, while the elegant second-floor concert space hosts Latvia’s best musicians in jazz, blues, and other genres. All of this is accompanied by relaxed atmosphere and high - quality artistic performances. Incidentally, The Čudars Trio (guitarist Matīss Čudars, bassist Edvīns Ozols, and percussionist ivars arutjunjans) recently received the prestigious Latvian Grand Music Award 2022 for best concert for their performance at M/Darbnīca.

Great place to meet Rīga's artists, actors, musicians, interesting entrepreneurs, even politicians and diplomats. Myself being a musician, M/Darbnīca is hands-off the best spot to perform in. The most welcoming owners make us, musicians, want to perform the best we can. The audience comes for true music and appreciates the musician's artistry, which always makes it hard for us to stop playing. Great place to meet Rīga's artists, actors, musicians, interesting entrepreneurs, even politicians and diplomats. Myself being a musician, M/Darbnīca is hands-off the best spot to perform in. The most welcoming owners make us, musicians, want to perform the best we can. The audience comes for true music and appreciates the musician's artistry, which always makes it hard for us to stop playing. My absolute favorite spot in Rīga for a quick drink, immersion into contemporary art, an intimate, full-house concert of high-quality creative live music ranging from jazz, blues and singer-songwriter, to electronic and experimental avant-garde; perfect for a chill coffee date, or a wild night out.

Most happening place in Riga if you’re into music (especially Jazz, but not only) and art. M/Darbnica has an artsy and cosy vibe and very free atmosphere, nice people and friendly stuff. They have concerts and all kinds of other events 4/5 days per week as well as changing exhibitions of young local artists. And you can enjoy all that with a drink on an outside terrace in the sun. Highly recommend!

A cozy spot in the city centre of Riga,Mdarbnīca is one of the best places in Europe to come to if you want to listen to Jazz or other intellectual underground music, buy art or just hang out for a drink!
